NCR Corporation is an American computer hardware, software and electronics company that makes self-service kiosks, point-of-sale terminals, automated teller machines, check processing systems, barcode scanners, and business consumables. They also provide IT maintenance support services.
NCR’s Hospitality division quickly needed marketing collateral that was up-to-date and specific to certain new scenarios, following the acquisition of giant international competitor Radiant Systems.
As a freelance Art Director working regularly with the Marketing team at NCR’s Hospitality division, I created a series of four robust presentations, each one about 50 slides on average, designed to engage prospective clients. The design works with large areas of brand color and full bleed images. The imagery used is the result of location shoots using models, custom-created informational illustration, and purchased stock photography.
Initially designed with graphical type to guarantee universally consistent presentation of NCR’s brand face Frutiger, we discovered at the last minute that NCR was going through some changes to its secondary branding systems, including the expansion of acceptable typefaces, and that a more widely available face was available, namely Ariel. So we rebuilt everything with editable PowerPoint type using Ariel so that the NCR Marketing team could make edits and updates to their messaging on the fly.
